I trained as a carpenter at college, did 4 years on commercial sites learning the trade properly, then 11 years freelance fitting kitchens, wardrobes and bespoke pieces for homeowners. I work alone (sometimes with a labourer for big jobs) and I'd rather build one thing right than rush three.
